Looking for my path

Like The Fool, I am a nomad.

In 2005, when I graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in Creative Writing and a broken heart, I didn’t know what to “do with my life.”

I traveled to Thailand and Israel, hoping to find my way. I mended my broken heart, lived in the desert, and painted watercolors every morning.

When I came back to the U.S., I decided to go into teaching because I love working with kids. I got my masters in Educational Psychology, and for 3 years, I taught elementary school.

Then I had my heart broken again – this time by the public school system. I loved teaching kids but couldn’t do so in an environment that punishes creativity.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been working for myself, building websites, freelance writing, and coaching business owners on their writing.

I’ve always wanted to do something different. But it’s scary to go down an unknown path.

Learning to listen to my intuition

I have always accessed my intuition through writing.

4 years ago, I began directly speaking with my guides. But I didn’t have the courage or readiness to leap into an intuitive business.

Then, when COVID-19 closed everything down, including my business, I looked within and realized that I needed a break from writing coaching.

I took Tarot for the Wild Soul School with Lindsay Mack and found myself healing decades-old wounds through the power of Soul Tarot.

With Chrysalis Calling, I am blending my expertise in teaching, writing, and intuitive arts like tarot, channeling, and astrology.

What is Chrysalis Calling?

After a caterpillar forms a chrysalis or cocoon, it goes through a complete transformation. Its body turns to goo and is remade in the safety of the chrysalis.

Chrysalis Calling is a space for you to be supported in your own chrysalis.

I believe that the darkest times in our life provide the greatest potential for growth. We may see only darkness, but in reality, we are in a chrysalis, with the potential of transforming into more expansive, compassionate, wise, and empowered people.

Your chrysalis can also be a more mundane one – a dark place in your life where you need a bit of clarity.

Through tarot readings, intuitive writing, and connection with your guides, you can feel supported in the darkness and emerge with glistening wings and the ability to fly.

How I read tarot

My tarot readings are designed to help you transform.

In our readings, I connect you with your guides. They will provide insights and help you look at things you may not be aware of.

Sometimes, their messages show you how very powerful and capable you are.

Sometimes, they invite you to heal wounds or create a more loving relationship with your brain.

Sometimes, they ask you to rest and take better care of yourself.

Every time you connect with your guides, you have the opportunity to grow, learn, and heal.

Who would benefit from working with me?

If you are up for working on your emotional, mental, and spiritual health; opening your mind and heart; and listening to your intuition, you will love working with me.

If you are looking for someone to predict the future or confirm your ideas, I’m not the right reader for you.
